The Params is a home for thirteen adults with learning disabilities. The home is co-owned by Isabel and Siva Parameswaran. Isabel is the registered manager and in overall charge of the home along with her husband.

This detached Victorian property is perched on a hill in the beautiful residential suburb of Purley. The home is within ten minutes walk of the town centre, which is well served by a wide variety of local shops, cafes, restaurants, pubs and banks. The home is also on a mainline bus route and less than fifteen minutes walk away from Purley train station with good links to central Croydon and London.

The home comprises of thirteen single occupancy bedrooms, a large entrance hall, main lounge, separate dinning room, sunroom, kitchen, laundry room, office, and top floor games room. There is a mixture of bathing and shower

facilities throughout the building. Residents are encouraged to personalise their own rooms, having favourite pieces of furniture and family keepsakes. Residents may choose to spend time alone in their rooms or more commonly with others in the communal areas.

Residents can enjoy the TV, music, fun and games (and even some peace and quiet) in the main lounge, sunroom and games room. The main lounge often acts as the central focus for activities and social events. There is also a large central dining area with access to the kitchen where residents are encouraged to help with the cooking.

We have been fortunate enough to enjoy some good entertainment and have regular dance sessions. There is also a large garden

Being so close to Purley, Croydon and Central London, we take advantage of enjoying a variety of events from the theatre to country walks.

We have our own transport, consisting of three vehicles, which enables us to attend appointments easily but more importantly allows us to be spontaneous and take trips out. We enjoy trips to a variety of places throughout the year.

at the rear of the property, where residents can relax and even grow their own fruit and vegetables. Residents are able to feed the large carps swimming in the garden pond.
